Baker Middle School provides empowered learning opportunities for our students and community. We help students recognize their fullest potential through inclusive practices. 

Progressive teachings strategies meet students where they all while helping them to advance through rigorous instruction. Staff use data to drive decisions while committing to knowing each student as an individual.

Baker is an integral part of the Southside Tacoma community, our doors are open beyond school hours with opportunities for enrichment, support and collaboration beyond the traditional school day. Our strong high school and beyond structure helps prepare students for their futures and includes access to two different foreign languages, Korean and Spanish, digital media courses like broadcasting and digital photography, and academic support after school by trained tutors and teachers.
