Hi Baker Bulldogs!

My name is Shauna Jacobs (Ms. Jacobs) and I am one of your school counselors! I have been at Baker MS for 5 years and have been a school counselor for 14 years. In addition to TPS, I’ve worked in the Franklin Pierce, Issaquah and Snoqualmie Valley School Districts, and have experience in both high school and middle school. What I love most about this job is being able to create a safe place for students to land when they’re going through so much. It is a privilege to be a trusted adult! When I’m not at school, I’m busy being a mom to two daughters and chasing the sun whenever I can.

Hi Bulldogs! I’m Ashley Coulter, the school counselor for students whose last names start with M–Z. I love working with middle schoolers because every day is different, and you all keep things interesting! Before becoming a counselor, I was a social studies and English teacher, so helping students has always been a big part of what I do. Outside of school, I love trying new foods, exploring cool places around the PNW, and spending time with my dog.

Students come see us for many reasons including:

• Issues with friends or family
• Struggles with academics or teachers
• Harassment/Intimidation/Bullying
• Problem solving or strategies to have difficult conversations
• Learning coping skills
• Needing a safe space to take a break
• Learning about resources
• Managing grief/loss or other trauma

Students can make an appointment by:

• Sending us a message through Synergy Mail
• Sending an email
• Asking their teacher to contact us
• Stopping by the office and letting them know they’d like an appointment with their counselor
